Industrial Protective Clothing Fabrics Market: Emerging Trends Boosts the Global Industry Growth

Industry Insights

Injuries and on-job mortality at industrial location due to gas leakage, fire explosion, and chemical reaction are the major cause of occupational fatalities. To avoid any such consequence, stringent regulations pertaining to work place and worker safety have been enforced. This, in turn, has an explicit impact on growth of the industrial protective clothing .

Some of the major reasons influencing the adoption rate of industrial protective clothing are listed below-

Ordinary clothing undergoes ignition when exposed to flame. The cloth will continued to burn unless clothe is completely burned or fire is extinguished. Industrial protective clothing have various properties such as cut resistance arc, chemical resistance, and flame resistance. When these clothing come in contact with flame it doesn’t catch fire. Hence, the person remains safe. This helps in mitigating risks of fire and chemical accidents.

    • Protective clothing are either manufactured from natural fibers such as cotton, silk, and wool, or from synthetic fibers such as aramid, acrylic, and polyester. Usually, synthetic fibers are used to manufacture fire resistant clothing. Hence, these clothing are intact with fire resistant properties of synthetic fibers such as polymer.

Moreover, flame resistant trait of these fabrics is permanent. These clothing doesn’t lose fire resistant characteristics after washing it. On flip side, treated fire resistant fabrics are manufactured by applying flame resistant chemical finish over natural fibers. It is done through chemical treatment of natural fibers before they are woven or knitted into fabric.
